AGM and Easter Parade 2010

The AGM took place at Lochore Meadows. Wullie Burt is now the Secretary while Anji Styles is now the Membership secretary.

There followed an interesting seminar from Arabella Baird who is studying at the Musculoskeletal Research Group, Veterinary Science Building, University of Liverpool. Her group are investigating genetic links to cruciate disease in Newfoundland dogs. She would like DNA samples (blood or saliva) from both dogs with cruciate disease and dogs that are over 7 and confirmed symptom free of cruciate disease. Newfie owners interested should contact Arabella who will supply a DNA swabbing kit and instructions on use. It's very easy to do and is very worth while. There was a short committee meeting before everyone set out on an Easter Egg Hunt, games and Easter Bonnett competition.

The Egg Hunt was won by Steven and Lauren with Kiai

The Easter Bonnett competition was won by Wendy with Missie

Everyone won an egg of some sort. The games came to an end just as the heavens opened. It seemed to be a good event that might be repeated if there is still an interest next year.
